Ferret Vets in New Mexico

[wp_ad_camp_1]

(Ferret Vets in New Mexico – I’m always happy to add sites which have been recommended by other ferret owners so if you have a good ferret vet who is not listed here, please let me know and I’ll put the details on this page … I reckon it’s great to have a list of vets we know are good so that if our ferrets ever get sick, we’ll feel comfortable in the knowledge that our pets will get the best treatment possible from a vet who knows what he’s doing!)

DISCLAIMER: The vets listed have either been recommended, or have advised me personally that they are happy to treat ferrets, or have mentioned that they treat ferrets, exotic pets &/or pocket pets on their website. However I have no firsthand knowledge of how experienced any of the vets are with ferrets.
It is up to you to make sure that you are happy with the treatment your ferret is getting from your vet. If you have any doubts at all, please think about getting a second opinion so that you know that your pet is getting the best possible treatment available.

  1. Baby is her name and shes not eating drinks water but not alot she bites on the Cage sometimes shes been grabbing her mouth now shes just laying there she had runny poops

  2. Blenda – I’m sorry but I am not a vet so cannot give you a definitive answer ?
What it *could* be is that Baby is suffering from gastric ulcers! Take a look at my page about the disease and see if the symptoms fit …

Trying to self-diagnose your ferret’s illness can be dangerous! ?
A few years ago I thought my ferret (called Dash) had a blockage as he was pooping out thin green poop, which was like my last ferret, Snoopy, did, when she had a blockage. As it transpired after an x-ray, Dash had lymphosarcoma and the cancer had wrapped itself around his intestines and that was the cause of the green poop ?
Please take her to a ferret vet in your area and find out what is causing the problem. I’m sure that when you do that and they come up with a cause which can be fixed by medication, your Baby will be back to normal in no time!

Hope that has been of some help!
Hugs to Baby from her two boofy brothers down under ??
    Cheers
