Ferrets are caring

My beloved cat had a litter of kittens (7) – two died and one was rejected . The rejected one was going to go to go to a different owner until my female ferret started caring for it (obviously we had to feed the kitten milk).

My ferret was very protective over it and even groomed it. Now they are like best friends

I brought home a 2-month old calico back when my ferret Fortesque was a little over 6 months old. The two of them must have thought they were siblings right from the start! Almost a year has gone by and they play together every day. Chasing each other across the house, play-wrestling, and even sharing food (when the kitty’s feeling generous, lol)!

Flex saw Billy as a snack and wanted to him when Billy joined our zoo when he was 2 months old.
So one should always be careful with kittens around ferrets… not all ferrets behave that way.
But when they do, it’s magic 🙂
