Ferret Vets in Washington

[wp_ad_camp_1]

(Ferret Vets in Washington: I’m always happy to add sites which have been recommended by other ferret owners so if you have a good ferret vet who is not listed here, please let me know and I’ll put the details on this page … I reckon it’s great to have a list of vets we know are good so that if our ferrets ever get sick, we’ll feel comfortable in the knowledge that our pets will get the best treatment possible from a vet who knows what he’s doing!)

DISCLAIMER: The vets listed have either been recommended, or have advised me personally that they are happy to treat ferrets, or have mentioned that they treat ferrets, exotic pets &/or pocket pets on their website. However I have no firsthand knowledge of how experienced any of the vets are with ferrets.
It is up to you to make sure that you are happy with the treatment your ferret is getting from your vet. If you have any doubts at all, please think about getting a second opinion so that you know that your pet is getting the best possible treatment available.

  1. As of 11/14/2018

There is another ferret vet in Spokane WA at

    Hunter Veterinary clinic

    Dr. Schrag

Highly recommend! Our favorite vet!! Currently go to school in Seattle but drive back to bring my ferret to dr Schrag

  2. Thank you so much for letting me know about Dr Schrag and Hunter Vet Clinic! Much appreciated ?
I’ve added them to the page!
Hugs to your baby/ies from their new buddies down under ?
    Cheers

  3. Dr.Chandra LeFevre is no longer at Tahoma Vet Hospital, she is now at Pine Tree Vet Hospital in Maple Valley and she is incredible. Because she moved so far from us we now go to BluePearl Emergency Vet Hospital and Dr.Kristin Gill is our primary Vet. We’ve been blessed because she also is truly amazing. We absolutely love both of them. I do not recommend Spanaway Veterinary Hospital. Horrible experience 3x and I nearly paid them almost 1500$ for an invasive surgery on my little girl when in fact it would have been 100% the wrong form of care. They examined her for all of 90 seconds before giving me their bullshit diagnosis. Never again. Total nughtmare.

  4. Thanks so much for giving me that information, Alyssa! Very much appreciated ??
I have removed Dr LeFevre from Tahoma Vet Hospital and put her under Pine Tree Vet Hospital. I’ve also added the BluePearl clinic in Tacoma and said Kristin Gill was highly recommended by a ferret owner.
I’ve also put the fact that a ferret owner didn’t recommend Spanaway Vet Hospital.
Again, many thanks for letting me know!
I really have to continue with updating my US Vets pages. I started at the end of last year and the beginning of this year but the CoronaVirus seems to have made me feel so flat ?
I must shake myself out of my flatness and get going with the vet updates!
Hugs to your ferret/s from their new friends down under ❤
    Cheers

  5. The TLC vet in Spokane Valley is permanently closed 🙁 Not sure where the vet has gone, or if he’s retired

  6. Thanks so much for the heads up, Holly! I will remove the TLC vet from the page, and also change the name of the vet at Desert Vet Clinic.
I really appreciate you helping me by letting me know about the changes! Sometimes it’s hard to find time to update the vets pages ?
    Cheers
    ~Nona
